Glen Lake: Over and Out...

Well, it's finally come and gone. We had a blast at the lake this summer. Too bad Laurie, Al, David and Vicky couldn't make it, but Ron & Lisa were a riot! And the tides seem to have turned this year, as they husbands seemed to have turned into the Beer Wenches! But they didn't hold back on the whine, I mean wine. Ron and Skip were dipping heavily into the wine barrel one evening. And just for anyone who was paying attention, Ron is still in his comfy little box, trying to break out of his shell, and is not in the circle. (But if he asks you, just tell him "Yes, Ron, you are in 'The Circle'). We don't want to hurt his feelings.

We were attacked by a tribe of local mini-Indians who appeared friendly at first, but wreaked havoc on our chips and soft drinks. But that's the price you have to pay to live with wild indians.

Bill and Jan had a great 50th Anniversary party with the best ribs this Glen Lake Reporter has ever tasted. Thanks for the party and congratulations!

Glen Lake 2004!

August is just around the corner, and so is Bill and Jan's Anniversary Party. I never thought it would take 50 years, but let's all thank Bill and Jan for finally throwing a party! ;-)

And remember, Glen Lake is a Vacation Spot for all kinds of Weary Travelers. Ron, Lisa and I saw this Globe Trecker two years ago I think. She was prepared to cross the vastness of the Dunes to Lake Michigan, but the Sleeping Bear was too much for her. She made it to the top of the Dunes, walked about 500 feet, and turned around. I'm sure with all that gear, she may have made it. But without Skip to lead the way, she turned around and decided she best not chance getting lost.
